Since July 2008, Arpit Batra has been working as a Private independent Lawyer at District Courts ,New Delhi. He has also privately handled a variety of problems such as those of Marriage & Seperation/ Divorce, Alimony/maintenance issues, Dowry and cruelty 498A IPC , Domestic Violence , Accident cases including Compensation awarded by MACT Courts, criminal cases such as those of Rape, Murder, Robbery, Cheating, Forgery, Criminal Breach of Trust, NDPS (Narcotic Drugs Offences), Dishonour of cheques, arrest of the foreign nationals / citizens in India as well as arrest of the Indian citizens in foreign countries if the alleged offence is taken place in India, offences of arrest by Airport authorities/Customs/Police for the duplication or counterfeit of passport, visa etc
Arpit has experience of handling cases at pre-trial and at all stages of a trial like Arguments on Charge, Examination in Chief, Cross-examinations, Statement of Accused, Final arguments, Sentence Hearing, Provisional Release/ Bails, other interim applications.
In the year 2010, Arpit Batra went to United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Center, Torino, Italy for pursuing a Masters Degree in International Crime. During the Course of study he had participated in various Seminars, Conferences etc at the University of Torino, Italy; Tulane Law School;Hague Conference on Private International Law and Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hague. He visited the International Criminal Court and the International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia to follow the Trials being held in these courts.
