Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao is an operation of the Indian government Government that focus to generate perception and make better the efficiency of welfare services intended for girls in India. The plan was started with an initial funding of 100 crores (US$14 million). It mainly targets the groups in Delhi, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar.
The government of Uttar Pradesh aims to provide a monetary incentive of 30,000 rupees to female students who have an outstanding performance in intermediate or equivalent state examinations.
UNICEF is also working with the government of India to provide quality education for girls. As a result, Bihar has now given more priority to girls’ education. A new program has been launched in Bihar which mainly focuses on education for daughters and thousands of girls are now attending school. The School of Jharkhand Education has decided to distribute free textbooks, uniforms, and notebooks to all girl students from grades nine through twelve.
