Empanelment of Advocates to represent CSB before CBIT – reg.

1. Eligibility of Empanelment: Before filling the application form, the candidates are advised to carefully read and follow the eligibility criteria, instructions and terms & conditions for empanelment of Advocates in CSB AND ITS UNITS mentioned herein below :-

a) Qualification and experience for conducting cases in High Court, CGIT, CAT, DCDRF, SCDRC, NCDRC and District and Session / Lower Courts (i) Be enrolled/registered as an advocate with the State Bar Council (ii) Have a minimum, relevant experience of Ten years of Handling Civil, Services, labour Matters, Land Acquisition, property laws, taxation, Arbitration matters and other cases before High Court with a fair association with Silk Industry and Textiles.

(b) Infrastructure Facilites: i) Advocates/Firms should have their own chambers in High Court/District Courts and should have good office space with facilites like telephone, fax, Computers, internet etc. ii) The advocate/firm must have adequate manpower. Provided that the Compentent Authority may relax the above conditions at Its discretion, if otherwise found eligible in certain cases.

2. Tenure of Empanelment: The nitial empanelment will be fore the period of two years i.e. for the period 01.04.2019 to31.03.2021. Performance of empanelled advocates shall be reviewed at regular interval for continuance in panel of Advocate. On completion of empanelment period, extension /re-employment may be made considered based on the performance of the Advocate.

General Terms and Conditions

1. Proforma matters :- Where the CSB AND ITS UNITS is a proforma party in matters pending before any court, the same may be taken care of by the officers of the CSB AND ITS UNTIS. However, the Advocates may be engaged if deemed necessary in exceptional cases by the Competent Authority.

2 .The Panel shall consist of Advocates from diversified fields viz. Constitutional law, Civil Law, Service law, Commercial Law, Property Law, Contract Law, Taxation law, Labour Law, Contract Labour Act, Land Acquisition, etc. having the expertise, experience, performance and conduct of advocates in these in these fields in general or experioence in dealing any other cases of CSB AND ITS UNITS.

3. The advocates shall not necessary be empanelled for any specific court and shall accept the work assigned to him for the courts for which he is basically designated on the basis of minimum eligibility conditions for such referrals and shall not refuse to accept any work without any reasonable cause.

The last date of receiving Applications in the prescribed format along with supporting documents is 26.10.2019. Application for empanelment at CSB AND ITS UNITS does not confer any right /assurance whatsoever, to an applicant that he / she will be empanelled on the panel of CSB AND ITS UNITS. Letters to advocates confirming their empanelment will be issued by CSB AND ITS separately
