Property transfer from father to Son and grand sons

Property transfer from father to Son and grand sons   We are hindu, and my husband's(A) grandfather(X) owns a property and he is no more. X has only one Son (Y) and Y has two sons A and B. X has not written any will. Now we would like to transfer the propety to Y. My questions is whether it is possible to tranfer the property in the names of Y,A and B or it is advisable to transfer to only Y's name. Kindly suggest me the pro's and con's and also the procedure for doing it.

As X has not made any WILL, A B and Y will have right in the property. It is better to make a partition with the joint consent all the parties.
