Stop Payment of Cheque BouncedStop Payment of Cheque Bounced

ANY »Posted 12 Jul 2019

legal question I was working in a school and I left it in March 2019. My documents were deposited with the school only. I got the documents back in February 2019 after signing a security cheque of Rs. 36,000/- (Amount equals my 3 months salary). I left it in March 2019 unnotified. I stopped the payment of that cheque online because there was no such security amount available in my bank account.
Now they have sent me a summon claiming that I had demanded Rs. 36,000 from the school in December 2018 and that they had facilitated me the same. Now they are lying that I am not returning them the amount. But I have not taken any such amount from them. It was only security cheque that I signed to get my original documents back from the school.
