remedies available to me in environment protection act

this is actually a hypothetical situation (part of my research in a project)
due to setting up of a petroleum refining company in the area(again hypothetical with water bodies)
there has been a systematic destruction caused to the underground and water bodies by the operations of petroleum refinery,also the serene beauty of the area has been consistently deteriorating
also, the emission of certain lethal gases have caused various health related contingency to workmen as well as residents.
my problem here is, what all remedies or compensation i can file for in a pil against the co. under environment protection act and what all possible fact can be altered or derived to obtain a reasonable suit.
