what are the rights of an associate member as per mcs act,60

whther an associate member has a right to vote from the date he becomes a member or does he have to wait for two years from the date he becomes a member.Can he be a member of the managing committe and can he stand for elections from the date he becomes a memeber.are there any restrictions under section 27 of the maharshtra cooperative society act,1960.

Yes, an associate member can attend and participate in business of General Meeting in absence of original member and with written consent given by original member. Associate member may exercise the right of membership , if original member has authorised him in writing.
